Rating every Team that has Qualified for the Final Eight Part – 2, The host have looked impressive since the start of the tournament even after suffering from the major injury setbacks. The luck has also played it part for the host as they were blessed with the late goals. The French team looks evenly balanced on the cards. Even they were winning matches but were not convincing enough but have slowly regained their best strength which showed in the round of 16 encounter against Republic of Ireland. Though the score line didn’t reflect that but the on-field play did. They are looking composed and organized at the back and have a brilliantly talented midfield and their star man Paul Pogba also came into his natural game in the republic of Ireland encounter. They showed their character as they came back strong. Griezmann is back with the goals and the whole team is contributing but French team still has some problems that should be sorted out even though they have an easier draw then the others but should not be considered lightly or they can emulate the English team.
Rating every Team that has Qualified for the Final Eight Part – 2
The dark horses of 2014 world cup have become prime time contenders for the 2016 Euros and the reason is having the best talent in the Europe. Belgium strength simply is that they are blessed with the services of the best young talent, whether its attack Medfield or defense. The Belgium team’s campaign didn’t started well as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the less fancied Italy, but that looks like a thing of past as Belgium have bounced back tremendously and showed the most one sided performance of this year Euros and that too was against the Hungarian side that were the group leaders. Kevin De Bruyne has looked at the Belgium team’s biggest strength this year, but the sensational last match display by Eden Hazard showed that he is back in the business. The defense relies on the defensive duo of Toby Aderwield and Jan Vertonghen who were sensational for Tottenham Hotspur last season and have been pretty good at the Euros too excluding the defeat against Italy.
No team has impressed me more than the Italians. They looked complete outsiders as there were not some fancied name in the team sheet, but have just undergone a revolution at the Euros. Defeating the defending champions Spain with such ease was completely shocking, but all the credit goes to the hard working squad and their master tactician Anotnio Conte. The Italian team has looked solid at the back with the duo of Chielleni and Bonucci leading the back line. Daniel de Rossi has played his role to perfection and his other partners in the Medfield have also looked solid. The Italian team is the only team that has faced two quality oppositions in this tournament and has emerged victorious from both of them convincingly. They looked really strong favorites on the card to take the trophy home now.
One team that has looked hot shot favorites to lift the trophy has been the German team but I am a bit disappointed too as the teams that should be in the finals will be facing each other in the Quarter final. The German team didn’t’t looked convincing enough in the first few matches but showed their true class in the round of 16 encounters where they forced Slovakia to largely play on the brinks and that showed their true class. They had problems before coming into the tournament but those problems looks solved now and are ready to roar and beat the team that ended their campaign last time around.
